The Story Behind
Willful Warrior
The Willful Warrior practice is based in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Ancient Breath techniques. Using breathwork and meditation we are activating healing gene expression inside of the body and brain. Proper breathwork turns on over 1,200 metabolites, activates neuropeptides and many healing biochemical compounds such as Dimethyltryptamine DMT (The Spirit Molecule), & Anandamide (The Bliss Molecule). With this practice you will also make a biochemical shift from the hormones of stress – cortisol, adrenaline, and norepinephrine, and up-regulate your happy hormones such as oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins.

This practice is the culmination of nearly 10 years worth of research and study. The Willful Warrior practice heals every aspect of the body and brain, and has a very positive effect on the mind. We use this with our Warriors post-military service to overcome PTSD and depression. Everything in this practice, including the specially selected music, creates order, coherence and homeostasis in the body and brain.

Meet Your Guide
Leland Holgate Sr is a combat veteran, who is studying to earn his double doctorate in neuroscience & psychology.
Challenges in his life led him down the path of yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Through natural means, he has healed himself from a neck injury leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Leland has also overcome PTSD, addiction, and so much more using the power of breath, and meditation. —
